CSA #13-D College Prep Lab- Time Slot #1 (Seniors)

We’re offering a virtual zoom “college lab” time to assist you in applying to college! If you have specific questions about your college applications, this is a great academy to attend to receive individual help. You can create a Common/CFNC/Coalition account, complete your Residency Determination Service online interview, work on college applications, essays, and more. We’ll have staff on hand to answer any questions you might have about applying to college.

CSA #12-D Essay Writing Bootcamp (Seniors)

No calisthenics or saluting; we promise.  Bring your college admission or scholarship essay(s) and meet with Crosby staff and volunteers experienced in critiquing students’ writing.  Essays will be reviewed primarily for content with respect to following the prompt and being clear on what students are trying to share about themselves.  Those students whose essays reveal significant deficiencies in grammar, punctuation, and spelling will be advised to consult an English teacher for assistance in cleaning up those aspects of their writing.

Location: Virtual- registration for this event is required in your student portal to receive the event link. 24 hours before the event you will receive the link to join the virtual presentation. Students will be assigned a specific timeslot for the event. This information will be emailed 24 hours in advance along with the specific zoom information.

CSA #20- CFNC FAFSA Days- Sponsored by College Foundation of North Carolina (Seniors)

This year’s College Foundation of NC FAFSA Day’s will be hosted virtually. During these sessions representatives from financial aid offices across the state, will assist students with their individual FAFSA needs. A general overview of the 21-22 FAFSA, a discussion of the top 10 FAFSA mistakes, and an introduction to RDS followed by Q&As will be offered on the following days and times.

  2. Verify your attendance. Once you have attended a FAFSA Day presentation and have received a confirmation of attendance for your participation, complete the following Google Form and attach a screen shot of verification. CLICK HERE FOR GOOGLE FORM.

Forms of verification: 

  1. Confirmation email verifying that you attended (emails verifying that you have registered will not be approved)
  2. Screen shot of the final slide of the presentation.

CSA #18 NC Merit Scholarship Session- Hosted by NCSU, ECU, NC Central, UNC Charlotte, UNC Chapel Hill (Seniors)

Interested high school students and families are invited to join the several North Carolina scholarship programs, including NC State, East Carolina University, UNC Charlotte, NC Central, and UNC Chapel Hill, for an informational evening via Zoom. Program representatives will provide an overview of each scholarship and answer questions.
