6th Grade STEM Workshop

Join us for a workshop!

In conjunction with The SciTech Institute (a community enrichment program in science, math, and technology) – Crosby Scholars is offering a STEM workshop for middle school Crosby Scholars.

Sixth grade students will be exploring sound and circuits using Vernier data sensors to compare the pitch and volume of sounds to the frequency and wavelength of sound waves. You will then use your Snap Circuit kits (provided) to assemble working lights and sound sensors.

Date:  Thursday, April 8th (no school for WSFCS students)

Time: 10:00am – 12:30pm Check in begins at 9:45am. Students cannot arrive prior to 9:45am.

Location: Self Reliance Hall – Goodwill Industries Building (2701 University Parkway, Winston-Salem, 27105)

Each student will be provided a kit with the necessary tools. More details will be sent the week prior to the event. Workshops will be held virtually and in-person.

Registration is required for this event through the Student Portal, and spaces are limited.
