About the Invitational
The 2025 Crosby Scholars Invitational at Bermuda Run Country Club was a resounding success, raising more than $300,000 to support local students on their path to higher education.
Looking ahead, the 2026 Sponsorship Dinner will feature keynote speaker Lee H. Roberts, 13th Chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, continuing the Invitational’s tradition of thought leadership, philanthropy, and community celebration.
Breakfast of Champions
Held each May in Bermuda Run, North Carolina, the Crosby Scholars Breakfast of Champions honors graduating seniors as they join the Crosby Scholars alumni family.
This special morning celebration recognizes scholars from the free college access program serving all Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public schools. The event features student reflections, leadership highlights, and inspirational guest speakers, offering a meaningful moment of pride before students embark on their college journeys.
Traditionally hosted ahead of the Crosby Scholars Invitational Golf Tournament, the Breakfast of Champions sets the tone for a day of celebration and philanthropy—honoring student success while helping raise funds for Last Dollar Grants and scholarships that support future Crosby Scholars.
A Legacy of Opportunity
Since 1992, Crosby Scholars has carried forward the vision of Kathryn Crosby, who brought The CROSBY National Celebrity Golf Tournament—the nation’s longest-running charity golf event—to Bermuda Run. What began as a tribute to Bing Crosby’s legacy of giving has grown into one of the most successful college-access programs in the country. Each year, this tournament fuels scholarships, grants, and mentoring for students who might otherwise be left behind. Together, we’re shaping futures—one swing at a time.
