CSA #13 WSFCS Financial Aid Night

October 23, 2019

Filling out and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is all about being prepared with the right documents. Learn exactly what information is necessary to complete the form correctly, and find out how the IRS can help you for a change with the Data Retrieval Tool (DRT)! You will not complete the FAFSA during this academy.  If you need assistance with completing your FAFSA, please register to attend a FAFSA Lab.

For many students, completing the FAFSA is the first step in the financial aid process. Submitting a FAFSA is free.  Most states and colleges use FAFSA information to award financial aid. For instructions on how to complete the FAFSA online, visit www.fafsa.gov.  Other students begin the process by completing the CSS/Profile, which colleges use to award institutional aid. There is a fee required for submitting the Profile; make sure your school requires it before submitting the form. Visit www.profileonline.collegeboard.com for more information. Some colleges require the FAFSA and the PROFILE.  Visit the web sites of colleges where you are applying to determine which forms they need to consider you for financial aid.

Time: 6:00-7:00 p.m.
