Crosby Scholars Student Night at the Piedmont Opera – “Mary, Queen of Scots”

Piedmont Opera and Hanesbrands, Inc. are pleased to offer Crosby Scholars a FREE ticket to the performance of Mary, Queen of Scots on October 16th at 7:30PM.

Accompanying siblings are $11.60, Chaperones are $20

A drawing will be held after each performance for a $250.00 scholarship awarded to a junior or senior Crosby Scholar student who attends the performance. Crosby Scholars staff members will be in attendance and scholars may enter the drawing just prior to the performance by visiting with a staff member in the lobby. This scholarship must be applied toward the winner’s college education, and the recipient must graduate from the Crosby Scholars program.

About the Opera:

Freedom. After 18 years of being held prisoner by Queen Elizabeth, her cousin, Mary, Queen of Scots breathes fresh air. Believing herself to be the true heir to the throne, Mary has been imprisoned first for plotting against her cousin, and ultimately for attempting to murder her. This day of freedom turns to condemnation as these empowered women have a momentous meeting.

While Crosby Scholars staff will be in attendance, due to the nature of the event, we regret that we are unable to be responsible for supervising students before, during, or after the opera. Parents/guardians should make appropriate arrangements for supervision and transportation of their students for this event.
