This year's Sponsor Dinner was particularly special because we celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the Crosby Scholars Invitational. We are grateful to our dedicated community partners, some of which have been supporting us since our first invitational. We would also like to thank our presenting sponsor of the dinner, First Horizon Foundation.

Lee Roberts, Chancellor of UNC-Chapel Hill
(Jon Gardiner/UNC-Chapel Hill)
In continuing the tradition of thought leadership, philanthropy, and community celebration, the 2026 Sponsor Dinner featured keynote speaker Lee H. Roberts, 13th Chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We're grateful to Lee for his support of our organization and for advocating for the accessibility of higher education for all North Carolinians.

Hannah Greene, Crosby Scholars Class of 2021
Hannah Greene, a graduate of West Forsyth in 2021, gave remarks in appreciation of her time in the Crosby Scholars Program. Since graduating from UNC-Greensboro in 2025, she has started her own photography and digital marketing business - Hannah Lee Media. We have enjoyed reconnecting with Hannah as a Crosby Alum and wish her a successful post-grad journey!
Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Bermuda Run Country Club
The Breakfast of Champions took place the morning of the Crosby Scholars Invitational before the first tee time of the day. We would like to thank our presenting sponsor of the breakfast, Cook Medical. This year, a record number of Scholars attended the breakfast and were given the opportunity to mingle with community leaders, donors, and scholarship sponsors.

Dave Odom, Retired Men's Collegiate Head Basketball Coach
Our featured speaker of the morning was former collegiate men's head basketball coach, Dave Odom. We are honored that he joined us for this event! Dave spoke about the value of being a well-round individual and pursuing your fullest potential both on and off the court.
Remarks were given by Ariel Odugba, a Crosby Scholars Alum and Class of 2025 North Forsyth High School graduate. She gave a touching speech which was met with a standing ovation from all breakfast attendees. The night before the event, Ariel completed her final exam of freshman year as a Moorehead-Cain Scholarship recipient at UNC Chapel Hill. We are so proud to have Ariel in the Crosby family and wish her all the best!

Dave and Ariel shared a moment together at the podium.
We're grateful to our Team Sponsors, Community Sponsors and our special 20th Anniversary Sponsors for helping us celebrate two decades of the Crosby Scholars Invitational!
