Mental Health Ice Cream Social @ Bookmarks

Are you interested in reading about and discussing mental health topics?  Crosby Scholars & Bookmarks are partnering to offer you a Mental Health Ice Cream Social & Book Club this July!  This opportunity consists of 2 events and is open for up to 50 Crosby Scholars grades 9-12.  Each Crosby Scholar who has registered for the event will receive a FREE copy of the book “(Don’t) Call Me Crazy” by Kelly Jensen.  Registration is required in the Crosby Scholars Student Portal to participate.  Questions?  Please contact seniorprogram@crosbyscholars.org.

  • Event 1: Ice Cream Social Kickoff at Bookmarks in downtown Winston-Salem.  The participating Crosby Scholars and their families are invited for a time of socialization and a short discussion on mental health.  At this event, the participating Crosby Scholars will receive their free copy of the book “(Don’t) Call Me Crazy” by Kelly Jensen.

  • Event 2: Virtual Book Club Discussion where the participating Crosby Scholars will gather via Zoom to discuss what they have read.  Crosby Scholars and Bookmarks staff will lead the discussion.  This event will only be for students.
    • Date:  July 27th
    • Time:  3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
    • Location:  Virtual- Registered students will receive the link to join the webinar via email on the day of the event.
