Advising Program
College is a match to be made not a prize to be won.
We are excited to work with you this year. If you have any questions you may contact the Crosby Scholars Program at advising@crosbyscholars.org.
What is the Advising Program?
During the spring semester of junior year through high school graduation, scholars meet with an advisor individually to help students think through and accomplish goals after high school. The advisors can then address the specific needs of students as they arise.
Following each meeting, the advisor submits online conference notes to the Crosby Scholars Program. This process allows Crosby Scholars staff to monitor each scholar's progress. The advisor is thus the lead member of a team helping each scholar to navigate their post-secondary plans.

Our Advising Team
Scholars have two options for choosing a Advisor:
1) Meet with a Crosby Staff Advisor. Crosby Staff Advisors bring years of experience and in-depth knowledge of college admissions and post-secondary planning. Staff advisors meet regularly with scholars during school hours, right on campus, making personalized guidance easy to access.
2) Select your own Student-Selected Advisor. If you've identified a trusted adult such as a parent, teacher, or professional college advisor, who will join your journey to college or other post-secondary option, this person may serve as your Crosby advisor. They must attend an initial training session and meet deadlines throughout the school year. A Crosby Scholars staff member will support and guide these advisors and will offer additional training before each key deadline. These advisors meet with scholars multiple times per semester and meetings are held outside of school hours.
The time commitment to serve as a Student-Selected Advisor averages two hours per month and can vary depending upon your individual needs. Click here for more information.
Advisors can stay connected to the Senior Program by following @CrosbyScholars on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X, formerly Twitter.
CrosbyPlus
CrosbyPlus is a group advising program for 9th and 10th graders at Crosby Scholars. The program hosts one meeting per month during the spring semester, covering topics that prepare scholars for their junior and senior years of high school. Each interactive session includes games and chances to win prizes. Recordings of each session are posted on this page after the meeting, allowing scholars who miss the live event to access the information at their convenience.
