SUMMARY:College-A-Day Series: Guilford College (Juniors & Seniors)
DESCRIPTION:Visiting your possible future home for your next educational journey is an exciting time as you consider where to apply for your collegiate career. However\, during this year and impacts from campus closures\, we have shifted our college tours to a virtual platform. Join us throughout the day on September 24 on social media and webinar\, to learn more about Guilford College! From 10AM-2PM we will takeover our Instagram (@crosbyscholars) covering a variety of topics on college life at Guilford. We will also host a Live College Panel at 6:30PM where you will have the opportunity to ask your specific questions to current college students. \nWe know that nothing can replace the experience of physically touring a college campus\, but we do hope we can help you connect with a variety of schools through a virtual platform. To encourage you to participate\, we will award credit for the College Fair/Visit requirement if you attend 4 out of the 5 Live College Panels between September and December. You will need to register for each Live Panel and attend at least 4 to receive credit. \n**SENIORS: The college panel will count for 1 our of 4 of the required college visits needed for the College Fair/Visit requirement due October 31st. SUMMARY:Junior Academy - Think Like a Junior
DESCRIPTION:We are jumpstarting the junior year with a special presentation “Think Like a Junior” to help you prepare for all of the Crosby Scholars requirements this upcoming year and to better prepare you for the application process that will begin sooner than you think! This session is required for all juniors in the program. \nDate: Wednesday\, September 30 \nTime: 4:30 PM \nLocation: VIRTUAL; registered students will receive the meeting link 24 hours before the presentation. \nAt this time all Think Like a Junior Sessions will be a virtual presentation. \nDuring the webinar\, you will learn about the Crosby Scholars Junior Program requirements and how Crosby Scholars supports you through the college admission and financial aid processes\, including your enrollment decision! You may be thinking it is too early to start preparing for this process\, but we assure you\, it is never to early to begin planning for your senior year and beyond! \nRegistration is required in your student portal\, and is limited to 75 participants. Given the significant role they play in the college journey\, parents are strongly encouraged to watch the webinar along with their student; however\, parents cannot watch the webinar on a student’s behalf. Please register as soon as possible in order to attend the webinar! \nPlease download and read the Webinar Attendance Agreement before registering. \nThe webinar requires the following: \n\nComputer\nInternet Connection\nEmail address to log in to the presentation\nPhone or Computer Speakers\n\nYou must log in to the webinar (at home or any place with Internet access) on time\, watch the entire webinar\, and submit a confirmation of attendance in order to receive credit for attending.
