Learn exactly what information is necessary to complete the form correctly\, and find out how you can use the Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) to easily submit the form! You will not complete your FAFSA during this academy\, if you seek assistance with completing your FAFSA\, please register to attend a College Prep Lab. \nFor many students\, completing the FAFSA is the first step in the financial aid process\, and submitting a FAFSA is free.  Most states and colleges use FAFSA information to award financial aid. SUMMARY:8th Grade STEM Workshop Academy
DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with The SciTech Institute (a community enrichment program in science\, math\, and technology) – Crosby Scholars is offering a STEM workshop for 8th grade Crosby Scholars. \nParticipants will review EOG chemistry concepts in connection with forensics by conducting experiments to identify mystery substances. They will listen to a “witness” and use their descriptions to try to sketch what they think the suspect looks like\, use their digital microscopes to identify fingerprints and explore items they collect from around the building\, and explore types of fossils and research where their organism appeared on the geologic timeline. \nSTUDENTS WILL RECEIVE ACADEMY CREDIT FOR ATTENDING THIS WORKSHOP! \n*Students will need to have a device (computer\, tablet\, smart phone) which will connect to the building’s wi-fi.* \nDate:  Monday\, October 25th (no school for WSFCS students) \nTime: 10:00am – 12:30pm. Check in begins at 9:45am. Students cannot arrive prior to 9:45am. \nLocation: Self Reliance Hall – Goodwill Industries Building (2701 University Parkway\, Winston-Salem\, 27105) \nRegistration is required for this event through your Student Portal.

But\, what happens next? This session will give students a lesson on what to expect as the rest of their senior year unfolds. Students will learn what college admission might need between now and May 1 (College Decision Day)\, what next steps might be for RDS (submitting documentation\, appeals\, etc.)\, and what they need to do to make sure college is paid for (like apply for scholarships!) \nTo receive academy credit you must: \n1.
