Limited spots are available and are open to middle school Crosby Scholars. \nWorkshops will be organized by grade and last 3 hours with multiple activities per class.   The math and science topics that may be covered are as follows: \nSeventh graders will focus on Dental Forensics\, Human DNA\, and Data and Analysis. \nEighth graders will focus on Chemistry\, Viruses & Diseases\, and Interpreting Data. \nDate:  Thursday\, July 18th \nTime: 9:00am – 12:00pm  Check in begins at 8:45am. Students cannot arrive prior to 8:30am. \nLocation: Albert H. DESCRIPTION:The Crosby Scholars Program is committed to helping its students understand the opportunities offered after high school. \nThe 8th Grade College Visit Day is an exciting early awareness activity that is available to all rising 8th grade Crosby Scholars. SUMMARY:Rising 8th Grade College Visit - July 31
DESCRIPTION:The Crosby Scholars Program is committed to helping its students understand the opportunities offered after high school. \nThe 8th Grade College Visit Day is an exciting early awareness activity that is available to all rising 8th grade Crosby Scholars. We will be visiting Winston-Salem State\, Wake Forest and UNC School of the Arts. Students will be eating lunch at Wake Forest University free of charge. \nThe 8th Grade college visit dates are July 24 and July 31 – from 9:00am until 4:00pm. \nWe will follow the same itinerary each day ~ you may register for one day only. \nSpace is limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.  I’m looking forward to a wonderful trip and hope you can join us! \nThis is a student only field trip – parents are not expected to attend. \nDrop off and pick up will be at the Crosby Scholars office located in the Goodwill Industries Building (2701 University Parkway Winston Salem) adjacent to the LJVM Coliseum. \n\nSTUDENTS MUST REGISTER FOR THE EVENT THROUGH THEIR STUDENT PORTAL.
