SUMMARY:6th Grade Community Service Contest - 1st Drawing
DESCRIPTION:If you turn in your community service form early – your name will be entered into a drawing for a Crosby Scholars string bag! We will be drawing the names of FIVE sixth grade Crosby Scholars each month through March. If your form is turned in by Friday\, February 8th – your name will go into a drawing that day. So the earlier you turn in your form – the more chances you will have to win a Crosby Scholars string bag! \nSome of you have already turned in a form – that means your name will be entered in the first and all subsequent drawings! \nCrosby Scholars Community Service forms can be picked up from and returned to your school’s Student Services office or faxed/emailed directly to the Crosby Scholars Program. They can also be downloaded and printed here. \nKeep in mind that volunteering at your middle school is a wonderful way to receive community service hours. Campus clean up days or assisting a teacher or specialist are just a few of the ways you can volunteer right at your school. \nThe Middle School community service deadline is Wednesday\, April 3rd for all 6th-8th grade Crosby Scholars.

DESCRIPTION:Time: 6:30-8pm \nLocation: Glenn High School \nThe final junior year program requirement is to attend ONE Think Like a Senior session! \nDuring this session\, which will be held in the Glenn High School (GHS) auditorium on March 14\, you will learn about the Crosby Scholars Senior Program requirements and how Crosby Scholars supports you through the college admission and financial aid processes\, including your enrollment decision. \nWe will discuss the Crosby Scholars Senior Advisor Program in depth so that you are well equipped to choose wisely when selecting a Senior Advisor. \nRegistration is required (see below)\, and each session of Think Like a Senior is limited to 150 participants.  Given the significant role they play in the college journey\, parents are strongly encouraged to accompany their student; however\, parents cannot attend the session on a student’s behalf.  Please register as soon as possible in order to attend the session of your choice.  If GHS is an inconvenient location\, please consider registering for an in-person session at the Goodwill Industries Building or in Clemmons. \nYou must arrive on time (by 6:15pm)\, remain for the entire meeting\, and submit a confirmation of attendance in order to receive credit for attending. If you have questions after 5:00pm on the day of the session\, please call the Crosby Scholars cell at 336.671.5494. \nThe session ends at 8:00pm\, and the GHS auditorium closes at 8:15pm. Crosby Scholars staff will not be on site to supervise scholars after the session ends.  Please make appropriate arrangements for transportation home from the meeting.
